finally....

For the last 4 months straight, I have been really stressed trying to get back in the swing of things with school. I was taking two online classes from Utah State University. I know you are probably thinking..only two classes? That can't be that hard! I'm sure if I didn't work full time, it would have been a lot easier. And I have been out of school for 2 years, so I really had to re-teach myself to be disciplined and study. But I did it! I finished my first semester back. I am so proud of myself. In one class, I got an A-. I just finished my last paper for my other class last night, so I probably won't know that grade for awhile. But I get a 2 weeks break, then on to summer school! I'm really trying to get as far as possible before we have a baby. And it looks like I will be pretty close to being done with school when we "plan" our first baby to be here.(But you never know because sometimes your plans don't work out). The hardest part about being back in school is I constantly have to turn activities down. I can't go out with friends as much, or at all. I can't go with Sean places. I know it's a sacrifice I have to make now, and I know that the reward will be great.

In need of a change??

If you ever need a change in your life...change your hair. I have had black hair, blond hair, red hair, red brown hair, black hair with highlights, brown hair with highlights...and the list goes on. I think that changing my hair color is fun. Sometimes I'll get stuck with the same hair color for awhile, so then I'll add bangs. I've changed my hair so much since I've been with Sean, that I now joke that he gets a different wife every few months. So, now when I go to the salon he'll ask, "am i getting a new wife tonight?" Here are the 3 colors I've had in the last 2 months!!

My newest hair color. I really like it! April 2009

Sean and I right after I dyed it darker. April 2009

It took me awhile to like this color. I actually liked it more when it faded a little.April 2009

The day after I dyed it. I didn't like it and was kind of upset. But Sean loved it...and that's all that really matters! March 2009

This brown will blond highlights is always my safest bet, and I usually always go back to this eventually.

By the way, this last time I went in, I had to cut 2 INCHES off my hair!!! I was not very happy but it was very damaged at the ends and needed it. I hadn't gotten a trim in over 6 months.(i get very attached to my long hair). So, I guess cutting 2 inches still isn't THAT bad, when you wait so long to cut it.

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

So, I'm sitting here at the Corner Bakery in Valencia. Sean is doing his music thing, and I decided to come over to Corner Bakery to get some school work done. But of course our laptop only has like 30 min. of juice left! So, I'm blogging instead until it dies.

When I was first trying to connect to the Internet, 3 guys were sitting about 10 feet away from me. They looked homeless, but I'm pretty sure they weren't. I think they are just "modern" hippies because I heard one talking about this music festival they are going to. The have their dirty sleeping bags, and dirty faces, and my first reaction was to think,"ewww....so gross." Then I had to stop myself. Who am I to judge these people? I don't know them or their story. How can I judge them, when people still judge me and even judge my husband for the color of his skin.

Speaking of Sean getting judged, while we were in the Cancun airport, Sean and I were walking around smelling all the perfume and cologne in one of the airport stores. Next thing we know, all the workers in the store and the security guards are withen about 10 feet of us and they are watching and following us!! Making sure we were not stealing!! I know it was because Sean was black. All I could think was...."are you kidding me! Sean is a returned missionary and a primary teacher!!! He's the last person that would steal!"
It's a sad thing when people assume things about a person that they do not know. The only thing that matters is that Heavenly Father knows every single person. He knows what each person is going through. He loves EVERY SINGLE person on this earth. Even if they are a gang member, a killer, a thief, doesn't matter, he still loves them. They are his children and our brothers and sisters. And even though I sometimes too judge unfairly, I try to remind myself that they are one of Heavenly Fathers children. And even if they aren't living maybe how our Heavenly Father wants, he is still their Father and he always has hope that they will change. Thats why he created the Atonement and had our Savior carry it out. So, I hope that everyone will remember to not judge unfairly and know that Heavenly Father loves us all!

I stated in an earlier post that my little brother Elden and his wife Chantell were expecting a baby. Well, they found out what they are having today....A BOY! We are so excited. His name will be Corbin Parley Thompson! I can't wait to start shopping for little boy stuff! I love that my family is growing and I can't wait till Sean and I start our little family!

Cancun pictures...lots of them!

Here are some pictures from our trip. Sorry there are so many. But these don't even come close to how many I took! I just had a hard time trying to pick out the best ones! Our trip was amazing! It was all inclunsive, so not only were all food and drinks taken care of, so were tours. We also got free mani's, pedi's and back massages! And yes, Sean got a mani & pedi! Cancun was amazing and so was the resort! I have never been treated so well. We hope to go back soon.

First arriving at our beautiful resort

Taking a walk on the beach

The jacuzzi in our room! It was really fun!

After we put a little too much bubble bath in the jacuzzi!

Sean enjoying his food

This is how we got around the resort. The resort is HUGE! So, it made it even more fun to get to ride in "limo" style golf carts.

The entire 2nd floor in this picture was our preseidential suite! Can you see Sean in the middle?

Chichen Itza was such a cool place to visit. And it's one of the wonders of the world. It was really amazing to see. The only down side was it was sooooo hot!

Relaxing on the beach.

My view

The VIP beds on the beach that we got to relax on. They were so comfy! I had to make sure I didn't fall asleep in the sun!

Snorkeling at Isla Majeras

Taking a tour of Isla Majeras

This violinist played so beautifully. When asked what we wanted him to play, we requested "Danny Boy". It as so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes.
